Job Description
Hello Pediatrics is seeking Medical Receptionists to support our telemedicine team. Medical Receptionists are responsible for facilitating scheduling and patient intake during telemedicine appointments, offering excellent customer service, and providing compassionate patient care.
Job Responsibilities
- Communicate and provide care consistent with cultural and developmental needs of the patient and their family
- Answer the telephone in an appropriate manner
- Direct calls and / or record accurate messages
- Remotely schedule and register patients
- Room patients in telemedicine session
- Conduct initial interviews with pediatric patient and their parents / guardians
- Record initial patient information and complaint(s) in EMR
- Prepares patient for various telemedicine exams
- Handle patient's or guardians' informed consent to treat, and other paperwork as necessary
- Comply with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
- Provide unparalleled customer service
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the physician
Qualifications
- Strong tech savviness
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Willingness to learn new skills and support the team with new workflows
- Strong computer skills
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
