Overview
The remote Sales Support Specialist is a new role created at CulinaryLab due to the growing interest in our Professional and Home Cook programs. Prospective students call, email, and complete interest forms on our website; the Sales Support Specialist will be an initial point of contact that can answer basic questions about all CulinaryLab programs and schedule time for a second call with a Sales Advisor. The ideal candidate will be outgoing and interested in the food scene, plus be able to organize all prospective student information so that Sales Advisors have successful second calls.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for customer inquiries, answering incoming customer calls, emails, and interest forms
- Develop rapport and establish a connection with prospective customers by phone
- Explain admission processes, start dates, and course overviews for the Professional or Home Cook programs
- Schedule next-level calls with a Sales Advisor, communicating information about all contact made up to that point
- Maintain Google Sheets and the CRM to accurately track all relevant information
- Monitor all key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Handle administrative tasks and projects as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Two to three years of customer service experience in a sales-oriented environment
- A genuine interest and passion for the culinary industry overall
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially by phone
- Detail-oriented and organized to maintain correspondence and update the CRM
- Team-player and self-starter who can meet KPIs consistently while working remotely
- Proficient with Google Workspace, Slack, and Insightly or Salesforce (CRM)
- Must have reliable, high-speed internet access to support working from home
Compensation | Schedule
- $16 - $18 per hour, depending on experience
- Shifts will vary; must be available evenings and/or weekends
- Will work 100% remotely from home
