Pro Football Network (PFN) is a comprehensive sports media company that focuses on the NFL, fantasy football, NFL Draft, college football, and betting analysis. PFN's unique voices and engaging personalities connect with both casual and hardcore football fans through purposeful, captivating, and exceptional football content.
PFN is currently looking for qualified candidates to join our team as a Fantasy Football Analyst to use their passion for fantasy football and writing to help educate our audience using data-driven insights.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in writing with a fantasy sports focus.
- Experience working for an established media company.
- Efficient, effective, and good at writing.
- Ensure articles are completed on time and of high quality.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects during the workday.
- Compelling portfolio of work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or relevant work experience) in journalism or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in fantasy football sports writing.
- Experience on camera for video content.
- Experience in podcasting.
- Proficient in spreadsheets.
- A relentless eye for detail.
- Impeccable organizational and time-management skills.
- Great multitasking skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- The monitoring and analysis of fantasy sports news on a daily basis to offer expert advice to the public.
- Creation of a minimum of 15-20 articles per week during peak fantasy season (variable depending on breaking news).
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill content needs.
- Articulate and pitch story ideas to decision-makers.
- Other articles as assigned by the Chief Written Content Officer and Senior Managing Editor.
- Encourage innovation and make suggestions for improvement.
- Potential for advancement to Fantasy Football Director in the future.
Additional Information
This position is full-time and exempt from overtime. This position will report to the Senior Managing Editor, who reports to the Chief Written Content Officer.
Salary Range and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $55,000 USD and is based on relevant experience and education. Pro Football Network offers benefits for all full-time employees who work more than 30 hours per week. Benefits are available on the first day of the month after you begin.
Health, Dental, and Vision Plans
Insurance is provided by Aetna or MetLife, depending on the plan you select. Employees will be able to choose between four health plans, three dental plans, and two vision plans.
Other Benefits
Voluntary short-term (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) coverage are also available. PFN offers basic life insurance & accidental death and disability insurance at the rate of 2x salary, up to $200,000 in coverage. Supplemental life insurance can be purchased for the employee ($50k - $500K) and their spouse ($10K - $100K).
401K Plans
Employees will have the opportunity to enroll in a 401K plan through Slavic401K.
