New Territory Media is looking for a remote content writer with experience writing engaging and informative video scripts for a variety of mediums, mostly around YouTube channels.
You will use researching, writing, and editing skills to produce expert-level scripts on a variety of assigned topics. You'll have a huge impact in helping achieve our growth goals by creating content that connects with audiences and keeps them engaged throughout the entire video. Our goal is 1 billion minutes watched and that isn't going to happen with dry, boring videos - so you'll play a key role in helping achieve that.
Some scripts will involve original research or combining interview transcripts with narration. Others will be adapting existing content, such as blog posts.
Videos we produce for clients cover a variety of topics, but original videos we produce for our channel focus on video production and marketing topics, so familiarity with those subjects is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write engaging scripts for a variety of different clients
- Understand how to write to maintain watch time on YouTube, including writing in visual cues, sound effects, and b-roll
- Make intuitive and data-driven decisions to leverage content and achieve client goals
- Write an average of 1500 words a day
- Stay on trend with new insights for techniques to share and enhance best practices
- Perform and deliver under tight deadlines
- Edit or rewrite your existing content to meet video producer's expectations
EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES
- Excellent writing skills: creative writing, solid grammar, and impeccable spelling are a must
- Fluent in the English language
- Minimum one year of experience
- Good understanding of video SEO, organic search, and search engine marketing
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work with minimal supervision in a collaborative and positive team environment
- A self-starter with the ability to create content quickly
- A continuous learner
- Track record in creating engaging and compelling content
- A collaborative team player who values the success of the whole team, in addition to their own success
