PART-TIME, TEMPORARY RECRUITER (REMOTE)

AKA NYC is seeking a part-time Recruiter to lead recruiting initiatives and support the Director of People & Culture. The Recruiter will be responsible for acquiring talent for entry, mid, and senior-level positions. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, the Recruiter is a part-time remote position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Collaborate with the Hiring Managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and eligibility criteria.
- Draft, format, and proofread job descriptions, ensuring consistency.
- Post approved job descriptions to ATS (JazzHR) and other sponsored recruitment sites as needed.
- Lead recruitment efforts and develop strategies to attract diverse and highly-qualified applicants
- Use social media to proactively source talent.
- Screen resumes and recommend qualified candidates, conduct pre-screening interviews.
- Schedule interviews for the Hiring Manager (Zoom and/or in-person).
- Keep track of all active candidates; send summaries to Hiring Manager when necessary.
- Send follow up emails to candidates about the status of their application.
- Coach AKA's approved interviewers on interviewing best practices.
- Lead with an agile mindset, focused on creative problem-solving.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 2+ years of recruitment, talent acquisition, or related role (ideally servicing the advertising or marketing industry).
- Knowledge of current market trends and competitive data.
- Familiarity with federal, state (NY), and local (NYC) employment laws, regulations, and best practices for recruitment and hiring.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with particular attention to detail.
- Organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive and independent; take initiative on projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
