Import Coordinator
Job Description
Janel is seeking an Import Coordinator to deliver best-in-class freight forwarding services to our customers. This position is based in our Providence (Pawtucket, RI) location or Boston (Lynnfield, MA) location .
Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
- Prepare Customs entry documentation in compliance with US Customs regulations
- Proactively and aggressively resolve logistics and transportation issues with a focus on getting the best possible result for our customer every time
- Data entry of client shipment detail and update of shipment milestones
- Create and monitor exception reports ensuring our customer's goods are delivered on time, every time
- Actively communicate with customers to ensure 100% satisfaction and full visibility of shipment status
- File Partner Government Agency (PGA) data sets (FDA, F&W, etc. ) including FDA Prior Notice
- Collaborate with the team to deliver outstanding service to our customers while leveraging opportunities to grow our business
Position Requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience and working knowledge of logistics, freight forwarding, transportation and domestic distribution processes
- Experience with CargoWise software a plus
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
