The Job
The Copywriter is responsible for developing creative copy across multi-channel brand touch points including digital, print, in-store, email, social, OOH, and more. This individual is skilled at maintaining Ace's brand voice and translating marketing strategy into engaging and relevant copy by channel. Additionally, the copywriter will serve as the primary proofreader for the Creative Services team, ensuring that all copy aligns with Ace's brand style guidelines and is error-free.
What you'll do
Collaborate with the Creative Director, designers and company stakeholders to develop copy across multi-channel brand touch points including digital, print, in-store, email, social, OOH, and more
Develop, execute and maintain brand voice across all channels and platforms
Effectively interpret and adapt information for marketing initiatives based on briefs, merchant input, internal reports, and other supporting documents
Serve as primary proofreader for the creative services team, ensuring that all creative copy that flows through the organization aligns with Ace's brand positioning and is error-free
Collaborate with Account Managers to prioritize and deliver projects on time
Contribute to and update style guides and editorial calendars with appropriate copy
Research retail copy trends in competitive markets and apply that knowledge and learning to the development of new marketing projects
What you need to succeed
Experience and Technical Requirements
Minimum of five years professional copy writing experience; retail experience a plus
Copy writing experience across multi-channel brand touch points including digital, print, in-store, email, social, OOH, etc.
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or Marketing
Strong portfolio of creative work
Excellent grammar, writing, and editorial skills.
Proofreading and copy editing
Agency and/or editorial publishing experience a plus
Detail-oriented with ability to work within and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively through presentations, one-on-one meetings, e-mails and other correspondence
Demonstrated ability to manage a multitude of projects at any one given time, while being able to work with a team and meet respective deadlines
