We are looking for a skilled payroll, benefits and hiring administrator. The position is currently available part-time for approximately 30 hours per week, but could grow into a full time position. Your work will include tasks related to the administration of company benefits, the accurate and timely processing of bi-monthly payrolls and the administration of the company hiring process, including posting new jobs and screening candidates. The ideal candidate has experience in some or all of these tasks, is detail oriented and looking to join a dynamic and growing company. The position reports to the company CFO and Executive Team. Additional tasks include:

  • Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
  • Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into computers.
  • Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
  • Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
  • Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
  • Keep informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.
  • Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, and benefit plans
  • Review timecards each pay period.
  • Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts, and submit them to appropriate departments.
  • Assist in creating or updating job descriptions
  • Convert job descriptions to effective open-job advertisements
  • Manage digital recruiting platforms, including the screening of applications and communication with candidates.
  • Conduct screening interviews and reference checks for candidates.
  • Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
  • Keep track of leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for employees.
  • Conduct verifications of employment.
  • Organize new team member onboarding schedules

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.20 - $26.40 per hour
