Position Overview:

The Front-End Web Development role will be responsible for building the best user experience by scaling Party City's component library. This will require writing clean, production-ready code, which will be integrated with the backend/APIs and refined via the QA process. You will collaborate with UX and Web Designers, Site Operations and SEO Teams. The Front-end Developer will remain engaged through the launch to ensure that everything functions and performs at the highest level and must work very closely with the design team, not only to identify gaps and vet the designs for feasibility but also to help inform the experience design through a technical lens. This is particularly important in the increasingly responsive web, where developers and designers need to work hand-in-hand to find solutions to a wide range of design challenges.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Create new content templates to be used in Amplience Dynamic Hub
  • Use data modeling to create content components used for marketing between site header and footer (not the whole site)
  • Manage components and data to benefit scale through shared components
  • Build JSON schema for Amplience Content with UX and business considerations along with other system connections
  • Play a vital Web Applications Development role where he/she will take the designs created by web designers and convert them to functional HTML/CSS/JS to be used by the back-end Java developers
  • Use Responsive Web Design/RWD techniques in web development by reviewing mock-ups, animating them on the desktop and mobile devices
  • Develop interactive components using JavaScript and jQuery, integrate them with internal tools, frameworks and services, as well as external APIs
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and external agencies
  • Implement UI Style with the help of SCSS
  • Translate UI designs into structured and well-organized HTML/CSS, compatible with modern browsers
  • Use open-source tools and frameworks to improve front-end code structure and maintainability where possible

Position Requirements:

  • 3+ years of front-end focused web development (HTML, CSS, Vanilla JavaScript)
  • 3+ years of responsive HTML and CSS development
  • Experience with a CSS pre-processor (e.g. Sass, Less)
  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience with source control (e.g. Git)
  • Some experience with back-end integration (e.g. WordPress, Laravel, Drupal, etc.)
  • Backend integration within Amplience and Sales Force Business Manager experience.
  • Data modeling, JSON, SFCC skills.
  • Some experience with popular JavaScript libraries/frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, etc.)
  • Some experience in Web Designing tools (e.g Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop), and has the ability to translate layered comps into HTML and CSS
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party social APIs
  • Some experience with client-side templating (e.g. JSX, Mustache.js, Handlebars.js, etc.)
  • Some experience with server-side templating (e.g. Twig, Blade, etc.)
  • Some experience in Web Animation (either via CSS or via JS)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,464.00 - $163,540.00 per year
